For local top producer, Pat Burgess, bridging the gap between dreams and reality is just another day’s work. Nationally ranked in the top 2% of Empire Realty Associates, Pat’s work ethic and round- the-clock commitment are just part of her recipe for success.
She serves the entire 680 corridor, and specializes in Danville, Alamo, Blackhawk, San Ramon and Walnut Creek. Pat brings a disciplined, corporate marketing background to the table. Her vast experience built through years with AT&T, IBM and her own multi-million dollar IT consulting firm, bring unique benefits to both buyers and sellers.
“Because of my background, I don’t market a home focusing on how many bedrooms or baths it has. I visualize what the house really means,” says Pat. “I see the lifestyle each home offers and what it could become.”
A natural hard worker, who put herself through Boston College, Pat has a track record of success. In 2008, her first year as a Realtor she ranked in the Presidents Club, and recently received the prestigious 5 Star award.
Born into a family filled with passion for architecture, Pat exhibits a natural love for construction. This interest paired with her sound marketing and remodel advice hints at why she sold 30 homes in just the last year. She is a firm believer in presenting a model-ready property. Pat practices meticulous staging and learns the home’s history before crafting distinct marketing literature. Knowing 98% of homes are viewed online before purchasing, she always has superb photography to portray each home’s maximum value.
While she enjoys marketing and negotiating, Pat’s true love for the business comes from helping clients manifest their dreams. She takes time getting to know her buyers’ likes, dislikes, commutes, and goals before finding them the right home.
“It’s not like when I was selling technology,” says Pat. “Now I am helping clients turn dreams, into reality.”
Yet, her work for others doesn’t end at the office. As a 20-year Danville resident and natural leader, Pat rarely passes up an opportunity to make her community a better place. A dedicated Danville Sycamore Rotary member, she received the “Rotarian of the Year” and “Rookie of the Year” awards, and currently serves as the co-chair for community service.
Some of Pat’s commendable Rotarian work includes instrumental roles in Wardrobe for Opportunity, Harmony Home and the Contra Costa Food Bank. She’s also been involved in updating the Del Amigo High School library into a state-of-the-art media center.
Pat also founded a local support group, Divorce Angel, after seeing the lack of available resources for those going through troublesome divorces. This Danville-based group meets every first Tuesday of the month, providing legal, financial, mental health and real estate advice for those seeking practical and emotional support.
“Our group has been such a helpful resource,” says Pat. “We’ve had members tell us it literally saved their lives. That’s pretty powerful to hear.”
When she’s not working with clients, or helping the community, Pat enjoys golfing, skiing and spending time at her Tahoe cabin whenever possible. After raising 5 kids, 3 stepchildren and 2 of her own, Pat is a proud mother, daughter, and wife above all else.
“I’ve pulled over to the side of the road many times for my family,” she says. “Because in the end, all that matters is, that you’re there for the ones you love.”
Pat attributes much of her happiness to her husband, Paul, who will be joining her team this year. An accomplished businessman experienced in finance, sales and marketing, Pat looks forward to the added benefits he will bring to her client-centric team.
