It’s not everyday you meet a Realtor who is both sharp and funny. Sotheby’s Realtor, Arthur Sharif, comes with intelligence, transparency and an enthusiastic personality that’s hard to forget.
Arthur entered the real estate industry 11 years ago through multi-family developments. Since then he’s found his niche in luxury real estate stretching from Los Gatos to Hillsborough with a particular focus in the mid-peninsula. A successful, serial entrepreneur, Arthur comes with a strong foundation in sales and marketing. He’s owned everything from import-export businesses to restaurants. His high personal standards and competitive nature are just two reasons he’s excelled in multiple industries.
Known for his vibrant personality, Arthur’s clients enjoy the presence he brings to a property.
“I have a lot of energy and there has to be energy when you’re selling a home. If you have this gorgeous house, but you aren’t excited about it, then how are you going to create excitement for somebody else?” says Arthur.
Well-rounded by nature, Arthur prides himself on informing clients on both the emotional reality and analytical details. He studied engineering in college and practices the arts as a hobby, bringing a sharp eye and creative touch to each transaction.
“Realtors are not the sole source of information in today’s market. My job isn’t to provide people information, but to guide them based on the experience that I have, and highlight both the potential and shortcomings of a property,” he says.
Coming from a large family, Arthur’s natural sense of humor and generosity make his clients feel at home. A cancer survivor and innate optimistic, the Realtor and family man believes there’s nothing in life too serious for a laugh. This lighthearted vibe paired with his business expertise explains Arthur’s reputable track record.
The 11-year Menlo Park resident has lived in New York, Georgia, Florida, and Los Angeles, but deems the mid-peninsula his favorite place to call home.
“For me there’s nowhere better than this place. There’s nowhere better for my children to grow up. The air is fresh, clean, and full of energy. I’m able to talk to smart people on a daily basis, enjoy constant views, and reach so many beautiful destinations within a short drive,” says Arthur.
When he’s not aiding clients Arthur enjoys life through music, art, cars, and tacking on new things to his bucket list. He also gives talks on entrepreneurship at Canada College, where he extends his diverse business knowledge to students. He’s been married to his wife, Barbara, for the last 30 years and has three children, Zach, Claire, and Jackie, who are all in college.
