Total Validation of the HomeFolio Media Strategy
In the Internet Age, the venerable catalog is thriving. For many retailers, even with online spending increasing, the catalog is a huge part of their business. Used as a marketing tool, the catalog has remained at the forefront of exposure. “It’s basically a marketing tool,” said retail analyst Eric Beder, a managing director at Brean Murray, Carret & Co. “The beauty of a catalog is that you don’t have to go online to see it, so you can use it anywhere.”
Beder believes companies can become more focused within the catalogs and can tailor them for specific events or a certain customer base. “I think that the trend is going to continue,” he said. “If anything, we’ve seen more people add catalogs than drop them.”
Using the HomeFolio Media catalog to draw users in and to gain exposure of its name and their clients, HomeFolio maintains its focused vision on using the catalog as its marketing tool and making it easier for our clients to put their name out there.
According to Direct Marking Association, the largest global association for the marketing community, more than 12.5 billion catalogs were mailed out to homes in 2012. Using the catalog as more than just a means to allow a customer to order merchandise, or in HomeFolio Media’s use- to advertise homes and Realtors, companies are using the catalog as a means to draw in more business and to use in conjunction with their online presence.
For many retailer companies that discontinued their catalog use over the past few years in favor of a purely online presence and to save money, their sales plummeted. That move proved to be a hard lesson in the power of the catalog, said Ken Ebeling, senior vice president of membership at the Direct Marketing Association. “They realized if they don’t keep their catalogs out there, their e-commerce will decline.”
By focusing in on Luxury Homes throughout the East Bay, Peninsula, and Marin Counties, HomeFolio Media has been able to expose their clients to a broader audience, something that fliers and online presence alone cannot achieve. Intertwined with the online presence of social media, blogging, and interaction with other companies, HomeFolio Media is able to offer a precise and unique vision to the Real Estate Marketing Business.
