Silicon Valley Realtors with Results You Can Count On
“I just love having Darcy as a business partner,” says Elyse. “Our collaboration has opened a whole new dimension in the level of service we can provide.”
Elyse entered the real estate industry in 1988, where she was named Rookie of the Year within her first year. Since then, she’s consistently ranked in the top 1% nationally of each company she’s worked for. With that tenure comes tried and true success. Her thorough grasp of contract negotiations, current market information, and access to off-market properties give her clients a notable advantage.
As a Bay Area native, Elyse grew up in Marin, has lived on the Peninsula her entire adult life, and is a long-term Atherton resident. Yet, her expertise goes well beyond neighborhood details.“I know the purchasing contract backward and forward and I know how to enhance a property’s value to truly get the best possible price,” says Elyse.
Her counterpart, Darcy comes with her own set of fine-tuned skills. Her real estate experience began in 2004, where she earned an Associate Broker’s license shortly after becoming a home investor. She later sold high-end properties throughout Arizona before settling in the mid- Peninsula. Her clients value her impeccable listening skills and sound instincts.
Both business-minded and technologically savvy, Darcy previously worked for Microsoft. She also holds a Master of Arts in Historic Preservation, affording her the unique ability to broker special properties, especially those with a historic background.
Aside from their individual expertise, Elyse and Darcy come equipped with a full service team. Their extensive network of quality vendors ranges from flooring professionals and painters to designers and stagers, helping sellers present their properties in optimum form.
While these fundamental strengths are important, Elyse and Darcy know nothing matches the value of authentic, trustworthy relationships. Their clients also appreciate their sense of humor and down to earth personalities, making the process enjoyable, as it is successful.
“Most agents keep photos of the homes they sell by their desk. We keep photos of our clients smiling at the end of the transaction,” says Elyse.
When they’re not aiding buyers and sellers through transactions Elyse and Darcy both stay active with their families and local communities. Elyse is an active member of the Order of Malta, a sustaining member of the Junior League of Palo Alto, and a regular volunteer for a variety of community outreach programs. She’s married to her biggest fan, David Barca, who heads Pacific Union for Silicon Valley. The couple has two children: a son who is an attorney, and a daughter who is a licensed firefighter. In her free time she and David enjoy the outdoors, wine tasting, and savor all things Italian, including trips to Italy.
Darcy is married to her husband, Greg, who works at Stanford as the Associate Director of Development for Social Humanities and Sciences. Active in the local school system, her two children attend Encinal Elementary. When she’s not working, Darcy and her family enjoy riding their bikes to Stanford to watch weekend sports events and traveling. Some of her favorite trips have been hiking in Nepal, and exploring India and Sri Lanka.
