Contra Costa Association of Realtors (CCAR) hosted the successful Octoberfest Affiliate Faire from 5pm- 7pm on October 16th at the Veterans Memorial Building in Danville. The attendees where encouraged to wear costumes, and enjoyed great food, games, professional networking, socializing and more. There was a raffle for prizes that included gift baskets, wine, a $50 gift card to Piatti’s, restaurant gift certIficates, an iPod shuffle, an iPod Nano and more.
The event was well attended, and provided a way for members of the CCAR to meet their affiliate partners. Organizer of the event Glenna Nickerson had “no complaints” about the faire and commented on how the time “went quickly” because guests where having so much fun socializing. Bela Singh of Citibank called the evening a great success and was happy she “got to meet a lot of new Realtors.” First time attendee David Ashburn describes his wonderful time at the faire: “I have not attended this event before but I enjoyed it and had a great opportunity to network with agents that I do not get to see personally so much anymore. We rely so much on email, texting, and phone calls it was really great to see my business partners in person and enjoy some social time with them.”
In addition to providing a great place to network and socialize, the ultimate goal was to raise money for the Scholarship fund and Helping Hands. The amount of the money raised will be calculated later on this week. Sponsors of the event include Pacific Funding Group, HomeFolio Media and more. Congratulations CCAR on a very successful event!
