Now that we are in the heat of Summer, inventory is up and sales are beginning to level off as buyers in the real estate market go on vacation during the Summer– often times to spend quality time with their family, friends and children before school starts. It is normal to experience a lull and lower housing inventory in the Lake Tahoe – Truckee area during the Summer months through September. The general Lake Tahoe area housing market activity usually picks up in Fall, thus, I predict an increase in interested homebuyers by September.
