Sponsoring Children in Need this 2015 Holiday Season
Jon Wood Properties is joining the fight against children in need this holiday season through the generous donations from the community. The families of children facing life threatening illnesses put all of their resources toward treatment and associated travel, depriving many of the ability to enjoy even the simplest joys of the season.
The Taylor Family Foundation, which Jon Wood Properties has been part of for over 20 years, reminds us this holiday season that it is better to give than to receive. The Foundation asks that the community donate gift cards of any value to help families afford the simple necessities in life, such as food, gas, and clothing.

Having been in the industry for 10 years, their background comes with tenured knowledge on everything from home foreclosures to luxury listings. The two partnered nearly 7 years ago due to their common interest in helping homeowners through difficult times.
Accustomed to managing up to 100 properties at once, Jon and Holly transitioned out of foreclosures, bringing their vast knowledge and personalized approach to Lamorinda and Walnut Creek sellers. Yet, their core strengths spawn from building authentic relationships, and helping families start new chapters by letting go of the space they once called home.
Genuinely invested in building long-term relationships, both Jon and Holly are known for their ongoing patience and compassion. Their family-friendly style is an integral part of their business. The team first gets to know the clients’ lifestyle and the specifics that matter most to everyone
involved.
Native to Lamorinda, Jon grew up in Moraga and raised his children in Walnut Creek, affording him with a detailed scope of the local market. His partner, Holly moved from the Lake Tahoe area nearly 20 years ago, acquiring experiential knowledge of neighborhoods and schools while raising her children in Lafayette.
That philosophy also weaves into their personal lives, playing an important role in how they connect with the community. For the past 25 years Jon has worked with The Taylor Family Foundation, an organization who’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for children in Northern California living with life-threatening and chronic illnesses, developmental disabilities and at-risk youth through therapeutic experiences and support.
He and Holly regularly contribute in simple, effective ways to help these
families facing tough times. The two also use their real estate expertise to help Habitat for Humanity by providing free market analysis
and forecasts for the organization’s prospective purchases.
