Since it’s 2007 opening, Dougherty Valley High School has achieved notable success in the areas of athletics, including; NCS championships for boys and girls in soccer and basketball. Football, baseball, women’s golf, men’s volleyball, track and field also managed to make it to the playoff runs.
The Dougherty Valley High School Athletics Booster Sponsor Program helps promote the positive image of student athletics and builds traditions at Dougherty Valley High School. As a proud sponsor, Rama felt supporting DVHS would both contribute to their success and increase the community spirit. Community Night
Gale Ranch, Coyote Creek, Quail Run, Windermere Ranch, Hidden Hills, and Live Oak where all invited to participate in a night of food, football and fun! This event took place on Friday, September 26th, and was open to all staff members, parents and students. In addition, the Dougherty Valley community was invited to attend the DVHS Wildcats home football game vs. Las Lomas Knights. One of the biggest highlights was when the school announcer made the following announcement about Rama:
“A big thank you to Rama Mehra our local real estate expert and major sponsor for her continual support of our student athletes and the DVHS athletic boosters.”

Dougherty Valley Culture Festival
With great pleasure Rama contributed to this educational and rich learning experience. The 2nd annual DVHS Cultural Festival took place on May 3rd and Rama Mehra was the presenting sponsor. This fun and entertaining family friendly event included everything from Henna tattoos to Chinese Ribbon Dance. A cultural bazaar was available so attendees could sample different foods from all around the world. There where various booths that sold ethnic clothes and jewelry. World-renowned artists performed and represented cultures from seven different countries. Students also had the chance to take free workshops from award winning dancers who taught BharatNattyam, Chinese Ribbon Dance, Flamenco, Native American dances.
Grizzly Madness | Raising Funds for all Cal High Student Athletes
Rama sponsored Cal High’s Athletic Booster for 2013 & 2014. Held on March 15th at the Crow Canyon Country Club, attendees of this successful event included celebrities and families of students from Cal High School.
$46,000 was raised during this successful fundraiser — which was $10,000 over last year’s amount! That night’s evening included a delicious dinner, games, auctions, raffles, and live entertainment. All the proceeds benefited Cal High Student Athletes, so that the athletic program can continue to build community through safe and educational competitive events.
Guy McIntyre of the San Francisco 49ers made a special appearance and delivered a heartfelt inspirational speech regarding the importance of continued support for school athletic programs. Examples of Cal High students who are excelling in the sports arena, where also shared. Many alumni were inducted into the Hall of Fame, and are currently serving the schools by working as athletic directors and coaches.
