When Dana Green began her real estate sales career in 2005, she entered the field equipped with some impressive assets…
A degree in Communications and Public Relations from the University of the Pacific, a solid Business marketing background owner of two successful companies, Green Marketing & Event Planning, and a home staging company called The Tailored House, a passion for Lafayette as a life-long resident.
Those assets served her well as a firm foundation to build her business on, but more than anything else, Dana Green has built her business, herreputation, and her life with “commitment.” At every stage along the way, it’s been Dana’s commitment fi rst, then results. It was actually hercommitment to her staging clients that inspired her to enter the business in the fi rst place. She staged beautiful homes for sale only to beprevented from assisting further because she wasn’t a licensed agent. It was her commitment to her clients, and her desire to serve themthroughout the entire sales process that motivated her to become a Realtor.
Licensed in 2005, Dana committed to become the best Realtor she could be. That meant practicing mastery in all aspects of the fi eld: marketknowledge, advertising and marketing, negotiating, contract expertise, and of course home staging. Her professional goal has been to place her clients in the strongest competitive advantage possible. Simply put, Dana wants her clients to win. If that makes it sound like Dana is ompetitive, well… she’s very competitive. As she puts it, “I like to win, but I like to win the “right” way…honest and fair.”
It wasn’t long before Dana’s formula for success, ”commitment fi rst, then results,” started paying off. She was the #1 Lafayette Realtor in 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009 and 2008. She was also #1 in Contra Costa County in 2012, 2011 and 2010. In 2012, Dana represented twice the number of Lafayette buyers and sellers as any other Realtor. Her listings sell, on average, 101% of listing price.
Dana definitely has a well-deserved reputation for serving the “luxury home” niche in Lafayette, but actually works all aspects and price ranges of the market. Her clients are roughly 50% buyers and 50% sellers, and she says her clients benefi t from her broad experience in all price points because they tend to cross-over. “It gives me the ‘big picture.’ When we view the market from a high vantage point, we can lead the market. We’re not waiting to fi gure out what the move-up buyers are looking for because we’re already working with them. We have to be involved in all price points and aspects of the market because it’s changing so fast that today’s advise may be out of date by tomorrow.” In 2012, Dana’s commitment to her clients resulted in over $89 million in transactions closed, representing buyers and sellers.
What’s even more impressive is that with all that activity, Dana is directly involved in each transaction, start to fi nish. To help things run smoothly, Dana manages an accomplished team of dedicated licensed assistants, professional stagers and marketers. She works crazy hours and chalks it up to, “lots of old fashioned hard work.” Her clients obviously appreciate her commitment and hard work because they reward her with their trust. Dana’s business is growing because her happy clients trust her enough to recommend her to their friends and family.
Dana is also committed to her family and community. In addition to her role as Realtor, she and her husband, Todd, are proud parents of theirtwo children. Their son, a freshman at Colorado College, attended Acalanes. Their daughter is a junior at Campolindo. Even their golden retriever, Luke, attended Obedience School in Lafayette. Dana demonstrates her commitment to community schools, notwithstanding
Luke’s obedience school, through a contribution to Lafayette Partners in Education, Taylor Family Foundation, and The Wounded Warrior project with each transaction closed. If you’re committed to making your next real estate transaction a winning one, you should call Dana for a one-on-one conversation…
